Mount Monadnock, Dublin, NHThis summer I hiked up Mount Monadnock on two of my days off (I worked at a small summer camp nearby). The second time I hiked up the 4.5 mile Pumpelly trail solo (this first time I was with two friends and we did a shorter route). The Pumpelly trail follows the ridge up, it was absolutely beautiful.
You may notice I'm not wearing shoes. Both times I hiked up barefoot without a problem, but put on my Vibram FiveFingers for part of the way down. I enjoy feeling the ground I am walking on and I had spent the summer running barefoot and building up the soles of my feet.
