Thanks Bill! This was an amazing hike. The scenery was stellar from start to finish. And yes, the summit area is definitely gray and rugged, but the lower slopes are a complete contrast being lush green. The hike to the lookout is supposedly one of the most beautiful hikes in the park... and I wouldn't argue.
