This little guy was slow to move as I photographed him on a warm day near the end of March. Early in the spring, warm days bring out all kinds of reptiles. I would go into the woods and carefully roll over stones and logs to see who might be hiding there.

This little fellow didn't have a care in the world as my friend held him. This was the end of March when everybody is starting to move here in the Red River Gorge. We were out turning over rocks one afternoon and came across all kinds of these.
