| Yesterday was in the 70s and sunny...today was butt-cold with rime and frost everywhere. We took the skimpy route to the summit (Husband, plus Mom & Dad) enjoyed the views then strolled on down and headed back for Thanksgiving Turkey leftovers. :) Cold, wet, chilled-to-the-bone type of day. Still decent views available due to the mowed summit area. | |

| Hiked up from the campground. It was about 3 miles round trip and a nice little walk. I was saddened by the loss of the observation tower on top. With the tower gone, there were no far views from the knob. | |

| "Hiked" up from the parking area just below the summit. Was not in the area for long so did not seek other options. It was perfect for my 4 and 2-year old companions though. The views from the top were breathtaking. The foliage was beautiful. | |

| Once past the coal trucks of Pennington and Big Stone Gap this was quite relaxing driving. I drove most of the way up this one and hiked the balance. There was a little lake near the top. I found the views to be quite good. | |
