High Mallow (Malva sylvestris) belongs to the family Malvaceae and it can be found up to the elevations of 1800 meters. It is most common on the edges of forests. It does not like wet meadows. It blooms from May to October. Flowers are about 6 cm in diameter. They are rich in nectar and are pollinated by insects. Flowers of High Mallow have medicinal properties and young leaves can be consumed in salads.
