HIGH TRAIL TO GRINNEL GLACIER-GLACIER NATIONAL PARK-MT (1968)

Afier visiting Josephine and Grinnel Lakes in August, 1968, I took the spur trail to the upper Grinnel Glacier Trail. After a minor bear encounter (we went our separate ways) and weathering a thunderstorm, I finally got to my goal, Of course, I was 22 years old at the time and could move fast.

Glad I didn't meet any bears

when I was on that same trail in 2005! I wasn't as young and certainly going much slower! Check my TR for details if you want the full spiel!
