Hillsboro, New Mexico ruins
Hillsboro Peak (elev. 10,020 ft.) viewed through the brick arch ruins of the 1892 courthouse in Hillsboro, New Mexico. Once a thriving gold and silver mining town with a population of 1,200 near the turn of the 20th century, Hillsboro is a semi-ghost town today with a population of about 200. Photo taken 4/6/08.
