Clearly the Hogsback is shifting to the left. The standard route on Mt. Hood is now "the old chute"

Can't believe how much the upper mountain has changed over the last year or so. Makes hood a little more exciting!

	Hasn't voted	Thanks! I climbed through the gates on Sunday. I went climber's left (west gates) It's a pretty steep and exposed treverse just to get to the gates! Going through the gates isn't too bad except for a 6'to 8' section of near vertical water ice! If the truth be known it scared the hell out of me! My guess is that it will be less of a technical climb in the spring.
