| There is a strong temptation to slog up the gully, but the ridge on right has a decent herd path and much better footing. | |

| Much easier route than ascending Elderberry Canyon, it only took 4 hours and 20 minutes to ascend at a moderate pace. The switchbacks are at a nice grade. | |
