Camp below the North summit of Howard Peak and the upper section of its steep east face. The North east ridge dives down into the shadows of Wildhorse basin’s left fork.

what a bivy !

wow, on the very ridge! looks really crazy :) what about of hurrican winds danger !? I wouldn't like to land down in the valley still sleeping ;)

Thanks! The wind pestered me all night but I was tied down pretty well.

I always enjoy spending the night on a steep ridge with great views. Needless to say, I got a lot of camp photos.

Thanks! Funny you say that, There was a two hour stretch between 11:00 and 2:00 where the wind would gust up the north slope at about 30mph. Kind of a long night.
