| Boriss Andean | Great hike! ![]() Date Climbed: Feb 19, 2007 | |
| Early start at 5:00 am from Aguas Calientes. We followed the trail up to the mountain until getting to Machu Picchu`s summit 4,200 m (13,776 ft) easily identified by a Pachakutek flag. The morning was foggy.. but for a few seconds the clouds went away and we were able to see the whole neighborhood and Huayna Picchu just below us. Once we got back to the neighborhood we started hiking up Huayna Picchu 2,701 (8860 ft). Now with a blue clear sunny sky. The view from the summit was amazing and unforgetable. | ||

| tannerpuma15 | fog ![]() Date Climbed: May 25, 2007 | |
| The morning was mystical and the fog very thick, then after an hour on the summit of wayna picchu the fog lifted and the views were spectacular. worth the early morning wake-up call to be one of the first up the mountain. | ||

| Buz Groshong | Great hike! ![]() Date Climbed: May 28, 2007 | |
| I did it the day after completing the Inka Trail from km 88 (and after touring Machu Picchu). I wanted to push myself and do it relatively quickly - did it in 36 minutes - not bad for an old fart of 62. | ||

| Andino | Very nice ascent ![]() Date Climbed: Apr 28, 2007 | |
| Had a grand day out ! Sun all day long, which made the ascent very enjoyable. And the view on top is amazing ! Great place to have lunch. Don't climb Huayna Picchu too late (before 10am), as only 400 people are allowed each day. | ||

| Hiked through the fog to the summit, trail had a very mystical vibe to it. Was disappointed that I didn't budget enough time to loop to the Gran Caverna - heard that it is spectacular on that side of the mountain. | ||

| Did the four day hike and finished by summiting Huayna Picchu, June 2004. Did a day trip to MP in Aug 2006 but didn't summit because it started to rain heavily. N | ||

| A must climb for the view and the beautiful old trail with lots of steps. There is actually a loop trail, I think it is the Temple of the Moon, come down that, nobody is on it. | ||

| Trekking on the Inca Trail for four days is an awesome way to arrive at Macchu Picchu, and climbing Huayna Picchu while you're there is certainly worth the time. Great views! | ||

| Gorgeous hike - took the back way down to the Gran Caverna, which looked much wilder than the other ruins. Much steeper down the back than up the front, but well worth it to avoid the many, many other people on the front side. I have never been on so crowded a summit!! | ||
