Huge mossy hemlock (?) tree along the trail

Alum Cave Bluff Trail I think this is a hemlock tree. Much of the lower section of the trail is lined with rhododendron and beautiful moss-covered trees and logs, reminding me of those in Olympic National Park. Great Smoky Mountains National Park November 6, 2013
