from 12k on the ridge to Agassiz. Check out Humphreys' shadow to the right! Also, check out Sunrise from the same spot the following morning. January 16th, 2010 Comments[ Post a Comment ] | NateMoon | Camping | |
Voted 10/10 | Just curious if you guys camped out on the ridge cause I was planning on doing some camping in the Inner Basin next winter, or if you were somewhere a little more protected. If you were on the ridge was the wind not really that bad? Like I said I would like to camp in the Inner Basin cause of the protection, but the ridge would certainly have it's advantages, just wondering your opinion. By the way great pictures and thanks for any response. | | Posted Jun 27, 2011 2:47 am |

Hasn't voted | Your really not "supposed" to camp at either place. The ridge is really nice because of the view. I have camped on the ridge twice and its been windy each time (once in November and once in January). The peaks are notorious for being windy and there really aren't any protected areas to escape the wind once your on the ridge. The Inner Basin would be a nice place to camp in the winter. | | Posted Jul 7, 2011 11:30 pm |
