I took these two pictures...

I took these two pictures while waiting for the descending rope parties to pass me. I sit on the Kleinglockner looking down to the Glocknerscharte (1st, lower pic) and up to the summit (2nd, upper pic). After they all passed it was my turn to finish my solo ascent of Grossglockner. Taken on 21st August 2003.

	Hasn't voted	Hi Gail, it definitely is crowded on Grossglockner, since it is the highest mountain of Austria and a very attractive target in the eastern Alps. Because I ascended in a single day, I was a bit later than the crowds. Therefore I was at least able to enjoy the summit alone for some time. But I got stuck in the crowds again later while descending. Cheers
