Overview

Boulder field base

Went up to Palmer Lake for another spilunking adventure in the Ice caves.
Took Corbett for his first time and got in some awesome rock hoping.
more to come.....

Getting there

From I-25, take exit 161 and head to Palmer Lake on highway 105.
Once you approach Palmer Lake, hang a left on S Valley rd.
Take the road to a stop sign and turn left onto a dirt road that winds down a steep small hill.
Park at the Reservoir trail head.
Take the trail up to a small reservoir.
After the reservoir there is a narrow boulder field to the NW (right)
Ice caves are about two hundred yds up in the boulder field.
Usually someone has marked one or two openings with spray paint on the boulders, not too hard to miss.

In the caves

Good areas in the caves, found a new route into the normal system we usually hit.
Spent a good while in there and got back out for some more hopping,
Corbitt seemed to have a good time, was a little sceptacle at first, but really dove in!
more to come.....
