Nice pix of Ice Lake and Matterhorn

Hey Brian,

I haven't been around here much lately - super busy summer, so this is the first time I've seen these pix.

When will you be going back to do Sacajawea? Maybe I could join you when you do. I need the highpoint of Wallowa County! (http://www.cohp.org). :-)

Re: Nice pix of Ice Lake and Matterhorn

If it hasn't snowed by the first or second weekend in October, I wanted to head back then. Up until then though I have trips planned. I've got good beta on the route up now (not the ridge). You are more than welcome to join.

Re: Nice pix of Ice Lake and Matterhorn

Yeah, I wouldn't want to try it after the first snow. Sounds like a plan - I'll try to keep that in mind.

We're heading to Montana to attempt Granite Peak, leaving Thursday night. After that my summer will start to wind down, but I'll be looking for weekend outings. That would be a great one!

I'll talk to you offline.

Re: Nice pix of Ice Lake and Matterhorn

As of yesterday (10/6), it still hasn't snowed there (other than some scattered shallow patches that are mostly melted out). Great weather on our Sunday hike out (however only so so on Saturday when we summitted). The Wallowas are definitely worth multiple backpacking trips in my humble opinion - what a beautiful area!
