Seen from Iceberg Lake. This is my approximate route. Above the talus slopes, the going was mostly Class 3 with some 4 mixed in here and there. Glacier National Park, MT-- August 2009

You do not need gear. It's mostly 3rd Class, and if you're comfortable on 4th, you'll be fine.
