Re: Gibraltar RockThanks for your interest in the picture! I do have to tell you, though, that Gibraltar Rock is a different formation. This is just the western peak of the White Domes. Tomorrow or Wednesday, I should be finished with a mountain page for White Domes and will be posting it, by the way, and it will go into detail on the two peaks.
Gibraltar Rock is a large red formation a little northeast of White Domes, very close to where the road makes its 180-degree loop to reach White Domes. It is close to the Duck Rock trail.
I actually found a picture confirming this the other day but can't find the site anymore. However, I did find this page from cp0915's blog, and it talks about both the White Domes and Gibraltar Rock.
The route on Gibraltar sounds fun, and I'd like to give it a try next time I'm out there. I wish I lived as close to all those great places as you do!
