When approaching Gannett Peak... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
When approaching Gannett Peak...
When approaching Gannett Peak from the south, this is the first full view of the peak. It is from Bonney (Dinwoody) Pass. We were camped in Titcomb Basin above the higher lake, so we had to cross this pass twice as well as climb the peak on the same day. It is a long and strenuous day to say the least.

DidWOODY Pass & TITcomb Basin, huh (& I thought the Grand Tetons were an interesting enough name!)? Sounds like an arousing place to say the least! Nice picture, and sounds like a great trip!

Long and strenuous! We camped near where you camped (just below Helen Peak). Fun, fun climb, though!

Yeah, long and strenuous indeed. I was glad to get that one in the bag when I was still "young" (45). Sounds like you had a great trip!
