In a moment of second thoughts, I attempted to climb this chute vice the scree filled couloir. I found this to be low 5th class with detachable holds and a daring dangling boulder to transit past. Staying on the right hand wall up to the chock-stoned boulder was reasonable climbing even with hiking boots and pack, but the slick face just before the boulder was unmanageable; I downclimbed with ego kicked and headed for the couloir. This chute is approx 200' to right of Hourglass Couloir. 13 Aug 05
