In memory of Michel Croz
One of the best mountain guides of his time. Died on the Matterhorn after accomplishing it's first ascent in 1865 together with Whymper, father and son Taugwalder, Hudson, Douglas and Hadow (only Whymper and the two Taugwalders survived the disaster). (Zermatt)
