In the belly of the beast

In the belly of the beast

Taken from inside the Argentière Glacier looking out into bright sunlight through the open jaws at the snout of the glacier. We climbed an unknown ice route that started 15mts inside the snout of the glacier and eventually exited through a crevasse onto the surface further up hill. An awesome feeling, like climbing inside the belly of a great beast – there was a little sigh of relief when we emerged unscathed from its digestive system!
