Love this photoVery expressive, and very indicative of the Alps. It's so strange to see a guy with rock shoes and very light clothing, yet there is terribly imposing alpine terrain above and below. How do you guys manage this?

Re: Love this photoThanks for your comment. The terrain is quite imposing because the altitude is high (about 3600-3700m at this stage) but 1. the rock above is perfectly dry, 2. we are climbing a South face and 3. it is possible to rappel down the whole face to the bottom where the heavy shoes are waiting for us.
Should come along next time...
