Love this photo

Very expressive, and very indicative of the Alps. It's so strange to see a guy with rock shoes and very light clothing, yet there is terribly imposing alpine terrain above and below. How do you guys manage this?

Thanks for your comment. The terrain is quite imposing because the altitude is high (about 3600-3700m at this stage) but 1. the rock above is perfectly dry, 2. we are climbing a South face and 3. it is possible to rappel down the whole face to the bottom where the heavy shoes are waiting for us.
