Route: Roads End
Hiked up just after sunrise from the Roads End trailhead, made for a nice warm up for Strawberry Mountain.

Which summit?
Mike, Joshua, Rico and I climbed up from the Road's End TH. The hike up took the advertised 45 minutes. I brought a hand level to put the 'which summit is higher?' argument to rest, but there were too many trees between summits to get sightings. The controversy will continue.

True Summit?
My GPS unit gave the same altitude readings from the east end of the summit ridge (a former lookout site?) and from the top of the rock outcropping a short distance to the west, where there was a rock cairn. So at this point I'm not sure which is the actual summit.
I am planing on going up there end of may? Will I beable to drive to the mountain or will there be too much snow. My boyfreind passed away and he want his ashes there, I have never been there and can not seem to find information on it. I have my plane ticket for may 31, so june 1, is that too early? Thanks

Warm up hike
Although I have been up on the ridgeline 3 or 4 times in the past, I had never made it up onto the summit of Indian Spring Butte so I decided to make the trip out to the High Lake trailhead once again.
I hiked the High Lakes Ridge and Indian Spring Butte in anticipation of my Canyon Mt. hike the next day. Walked the entire rim until reaching the trail that crosses over from High Lake to Slide Lake, took a around 5 hours to hike rim and across High Lake Basin back to the parking lot.
