Iron Mountain is my favorite...

Iron Mountain is my favorite Peak. At only 8000' it is so very pronounced, and the southern cliff face which we see here from the valley floor is unequaled. I climbed it in 2002 and since then have been somewhat obsessed with it. I took this photo Jan 17, 2005 from Bonelli Park on a crystal clear Santa Ana Wind day. In the foreground is Puddingstone Lake. This, I think, is the best location to get a view of the southern face - right through the opening of San Dimas canyon.
