Is Mt. Baker erupting?
Mt. Baker steam plume is sometimes visible from the lowlands of Whatcom County as this photo shows. Taken from my backyard just as the sun was rising on Feb. 3, 2008 the plume is unusually large.

The vents in the crater rim often let off a lot of sulfur and gases which it is more than possible that it created the lit of cloud effect.
