...not sure, but I don't think this is it. However, there aren't really that many choices; my visual memory could be wrong. You might contact Bob Bolton and/or Duane Gilliland--they might remember what the couloir looked like better than do I. (SP links are provided in the Mt. Cleveland Trip Report.)

Re: Just saw this image...

I agree with you in this not being the right couloir. There were too many loose rocks and boulders, and it didn't seem right. We tried two other spots that didn't seem right either. However, due to the winds, cold weather and us not dressing appropriately enough, we lost a lot of motivation to look more closely for the route. I will be sure to check with Bob, Duane, and yourself the next time we head out there. Thanks!

Re: Just saw this image...

I agree that it doesn't seem like the right couloir. For that matter it doesn't seem like the right place at all. I don't recall seeing any other couloirs along the ledge system we traversed. The couloir we climbed to the notch was very obvious. Take a look at this photo. It was taken where we started our traverse on the west side of the ridge. Note the prominent gray band just above our ledge. That's the landmark we used to tell if we were in the right place. I'm wondering if you might have been below the cliff band below our ledge??? -Bob
