It's early summer, and a big snow field covers the northern slopes below Ijesfürggli

Ijesfürggli is the lowest point on the ridge, slightly left of center. This is the northern side, in Liechtenstein. From the saddle you can descend on the other side into Switzerland. According to my map, there is a vague trail to Ijesfürggli, but with snow on the slopes there is no sign of it. Still, the saddle is obvious so that's no problem. And I've got crampons, which, while not absolutely necessary, will prove to be useful high up, where it's steeper. 24 June 2012/
