I have been wanting to go on this route for a few years now and was disappointed in 2009 to find it closed due to the re-building of the Gonella Hut. But I see now that it opened again in 2011 - maybe you should update your page! I hope to be in the Alps again in September - maybe I shall be paying a visit!
