Jan free climbing the last part of Via Maria, Sass Pordoi south wall

The last scramble to the summit is easy, so we coiled the rope and free climbed it, which is faster - and gives me the chance to take pictures whenever I want. Note the man-made structure on the top? That's the cable car summit station. We planned to ride the cable car down, but the route was real busy so we had to wait our turn to start and were held up by other climbers, so by the time we got here the last cable car of the day was long gone. 7 Aug 2016.
