January 2016!

I took this photo on the 30th January 2016 about this modest but beautiful flower: Common Primrose (Primula vulgaris). Normally it should appear only in March. A week ago the night temperature was around -10 Celsius degree. But in the past days it was unusually warm

Simple; yet beautiful

Looks like Punxsutawney Phil was correct. Phil didn't see his shadow this year thus an early spring. Does Hungary have a rodent leave his den on February 2 predicting if winter lasts another six weeks? The contrast of new sprouting flowers amongst fallen dead leaves is refreshing. Thank you for sharing.

Re: Simple; yet beautiful

I was happy to share this pic - I was excited about the arriving spring! In Hungary according to the legend not a rodent but the bears leave their caves to check if they see their shadow or not. I don't know what was the actual case, but here early spring is forecasted for this year
