| After a San Jacinto summit 2 years prior, wanted to take girlfriend to the top of SoCal on our climbing date. Nice tram ride up to mid-altitude. I was paying more attention to her pretty looks than hand railing up this snowy peak and so we mistakenly post-holed too far west to summit a mountain without a marker, Jean Peak. Anyway, good conditioning for climbing down in Colombia later this Spring. | |

| Successfully slogged and postholed through the snow on and off trails only to find we're on the wrong peak! Ran out of daylight to grab San Jacinto Peak, but this beautiful one will definitely suffice until next time :) Gorgeous views, beautiful day, and wonderful climbing partner. | |

| An amazingly beautiful day. The sky was blue and the temperature was mild. The trees at the top were coated with rime ice from the past week's storms, a testament to the harsh conditions the pines must cope with to survive. | |
