Sorry, this isn't relevant to the mountains but I'm hoping someone can identify it for me. Photo was taken on Johns Island, SC. Scat was about 9 inches long, maybe 2 inches in diameter, and not as white as the photo shows. It was found on a dam, in an open area. Suspect bobcat or coyote.

9 in. would be a big coyote or bobcat. 9 in is more indicative of mountain lion.
