What a changein the Pasterzenkees glacier just since 1994. When we saw it then the whole round rock circus in front of the Johannisberg was covered in ice. Now the only connection between the upper firn layers and the tongue is just the narrow ice band at right. It looks as if the glacier will break in two soon, and the lower tongue become "dead ice" as we say in Danish, left to melt away!

Re: What a changeThat's the sad truth...we was there in 2005 last and what we saw this year was shocking...but it's not only global warming it is a normal circuit of the weather. Some clever people say...
