Jonathan and I making our way up Monitor Ridge August 4, 2002 for our second summit of the year. Why is he smiling? Because I'm carrying the big pack with everyone's clothing in it! Luckily for me it was snowing and the wind was howling the last 1000 feet so the pack was nearly empty!

Dad carries the big pack

I had to chuckle when I saw your comments as one of the joys of climbing or hiking with your kids is that you get to be the sherpa often.

Yeah, I'm known as the Sherpa. But, that's okay. There's going to come a day when I'm old and gray and he's going to have to carry the big pack!
