| Climbed with Katie and John, cut a few switchbacks in Smithbrook to hit the notch on the Union ridge and then head down and around to Jove. a longer, more strenuous day than i had anticipated despite good snow conditions. poor route finding mostly to blame, the traverse from Union is definitely the best route. | |

| Ascended Union Peak, dropped down to the saddle between Union and Jove, and then ascended Jove. Climbed back up Union on the way out. Could not have asked for better weather! | |
