The ridge is pretty long, well over 6km/3.7mi. This picture was taken near the Zugspitze summit looking to the east. You can see almost all of the ridge. Picture taken February 25, 2005.

Really wonderful shot. I guess that is taken from near the Zugspitze looking to the East, with the Alpspitze just out of shot to the left of the photo?
