My guide Mr. Shalom traversing a snow bank below the summit of Yakhchal. He did not think much of this area but for my peace of mind, he agreed to rope us up. It does not look as dramatic in the photo. When we were returning (7 pm) the snow had become much harder/icy but our own foot prints were still there.
