West edge of Juneau Icefield drops off steeply. Split Thumb is center rear of this photo, above the Norris Icefall. Cairn Peak is shaped similar to this peak, but is just visible over the crest of the ridgeline. Cairn Peak rises above Camp 17 of the Juneau Icefield Research Station.
