Strange

that you got downvoted on these pics just because the peak itself isn't much of a looker. Your pics are all nice quality and helpful to those of us who pursue county highpoints. I hope to pick this one up this summer so I pass along my thanks for your efforts. I 4starred em all, as they were deserving. : )

Re: Strange

Thanks Dean! I guess downvoting pics of a peak should be inappropriate if one just has a bone to pick with the peak itself. It isn't my fault that there is a BM on the top, or that it is a double-county highpoint, or that someone else already made a page on SP! =)

This is all a beautiful area anyway, I'd wonder if anyone would give it no stars after seeing it for themselves.

Re: Strange

I'm really anxious to see that area. Utah is a beautiful state, just full of great stuff and surprises. After seeing it for themselves, they'd have to give 5 stars IMO.

Re: Strange

The Uintas really flatten out east of Gilbert Peak. Notice this shot taken from Kidney Lakes just to the west of Eccentric:

Kidney Lakes

Its a big contrast to the peaks located farther west!

Nebben, the picture looks fine to me. The page could use more photos anyway, and I was planning on posting some more soon, but it looks like I won't have to.

Re: Strange

PS Dean and Nebben,

I might mention to that if you did go to climb the peak, the route from the north and Spirit Lake is more scenic. The road is also in much better condition. The route from the south isn't bad, but I think the northern route has an edge scenery wise.
