Just slightly off-route
Scrambling up toward the hiking trail from the Old Man site, my new friend Bob followed me into the krummholz in order to stay clear of some wet slabs. The smile is relief at my announcement that the ordeal is almost over. Photo taken from atop a boulder that gave me a view ahead. Notice the backpack held in the hand (not on the back), to more easily crawl under the branches.
