Kessler Peak from Creek

Kessler Peak from Creek

To ski Brighton, I left early one morning so there'd be time to soak in the killer views on the way up the canyon after a nice foot of fresh fell the night before. I post-holed off the road for this shot of Kessler Peak (the triangular peak in the center) in Cardiff Fork. To the left is Cardiac Ridge and the backside (north side) of Mt Superior. [Thanks to seanpeckham for setting me straight] The slide path on the north face of Kessler Peak is commonly referred to as "God's Lawnmower". It drops about 2,000 feet before treeing out. March 2006. Fuji Velvia 100.
