This pyramidal pinnacle marks the key navigational point on the ridge route to Rattlesnake Peak from the Shoemaker Road trailhead. It is about 1.25 miles from the trailhead and marks the spot where a use trail on the left before the pinnacle commences. Here, you leave the road for the use trail, which trail will take you to the ridge.
