Fantastic scenery
I really enjoyed the scenery and the hike to the base of the peak was quite nice too. The route finding is a little bit tricky even with GPS tracks and route description. It's probably a good idea to plan for 8-9 total hiking time even for experienced desert mountaineers.
We didn't see anybody else all day including illegals or border patrol. We didn't see too much trash either.

Fun peak with some tricky routefinding near the top. We didn't encounter any banditos, but we did run across a couple of border patrol agents on our way down about halfway up the peak from the desert floor. The word was out on the CBP radio net about our group, so we're not sure if these two were sent out to keep tabs on us, or just some practice tracking a group. Either way, they were really laid back and we had a good time talking and joking around with them. They wouldn't give us a ride back to the trailhead in their truck though...
