Kinsman Pond?

There is a pond there somewhere. You know it's a gloomy day when you can't see across a pond. Although at times there were white caps on this pond. Great shelter here though a few yards back.

yep

That's Kinsman Pond. The shelter was completely rebuilt in 2007, and is much better than the old one which used to fill up with snow.

Yeah, I was amazed to read the story printed off in the shelter about when they helicoptered everything in. I could not believe it was already 3 years old. The logs look brand new, there are no cobwebs or anything, it was the best shelter I have ever seen. And it kept us dry for about 20 minutes while we ate lunch there. I took some photos of it looking out the doorway, maybe I'll see if any are good enough to post.

Was also nice to see that people heeded their request to not carve their initials or vandalize the walls. Very cool.
