Stopped by a snow berm across the road at roughly 7900 feet. Other than a handful of snowy patches on the road, the route was pretty much snow free otherwise.
Stopped where rayray's 3rd map says to turn right. Walked about a mile on dirt, then on hard snow, then snowshoed to the summit from there. Beautiful area!
..the drive in. Even then we parked in the wrong saddle and added an additional mile to the hike but the views were worth it.
An easy hike but you need HC/4wd and rayray's maps. Gps everything. A beautiful day. Did Elko Mtn in the early a.m.

Went back again since my friend Ken Jones wanted to get this one. We had done the Matterhorn in the Jarbidge area the day before and Ellen D earlier in the morning. It was a hot day and we used the same route that I had utilized before.
The drive in was worse than the hike, but the hike wasn't too hard. There were only a couple steep areas, but for the most part it was all nice and easy
