NW Ridge (II, places IV)
Long and wild ridge between Koryto and Niewcyrka valley. 1100m of rocky ridge up to the summit. Wonderful feeling being in empty and forgotten place in Tatra...however very honorable in Tatra's history of climbing.

Fast ascent, leisurely descent
I hiked up pretty fast, because the skies were clear in the morning but I wasn't sure they would stay that way. I had fine summit views, but shortly after I started my descent, the summit was indeed shrouded in clouds. Fortunately, especially for the many other hikers that were still going up, that didn't last very long.
On the way down I had no reason to go really fast anymore, and so I took it a bit easy. And spent a good deal of time picking raspberries when I was approaching Strbské pleso :-)

Easy hike from Tri Studnicky. It was a sunny Sunday so there were many people on the trail. Went down the blue then red trail back to Strbske Pleso.

Great weather, 200 km visibility from the top. Better to start early, later it's really crowded.

Regular summer route. Lots of people. Nothing interesting really happens on the way to the summit.
Descent - back to Tri Studnicky, with a small modification like "cutting down" the road.

My first hike in High Tatras, during weekday, not too many people. Was really amazing, though i would not recommend it in summer peak period.

My first climb alone
It was my first climb alone to a major peak, at age 16. I started the ascent from the valley Biely Vah/Fehér-Vág from elevation of 1255 m. And became really exhaused by going up.

Last day in a 5 day trip through the igh Tatras. Raced up Krivan and raced back to catch the train. I have to get back to these mountains.

It was my third conquest herewith my Family.
Hiked from Strbske Pleso on the normal hiking path.
Descended on the same way. Easy trip.
Cloudy, foggy weather with light rain.
No view at all, only a few photos taken.

It was inversion and I started out at down alone, the whole route without people. I was alone on the top and below me were only white clouds. Fantastic ascent!
