Great view...

...of la Grivola, that is distant from Aiguille du Midi more than 42 Km (as the crow flies)!
If it can be interesting to someone, the view includes also (from left): Punta Tsissetta, Punte Patri behind Grivoletta, Torre di Sant'Orso, Torre di Sant'Andrea, Grand Nomenon (in front of la Grivola), then Punta Bianca, Gran Serz in front of Roccia Viva, Becca di Gay, Herbetet

Re: Great view...

Thanks, yes I used a big zoom lens to capture La Grivola up close like this :-)
Thanks for the additional names, I will ad them to the caption.

This summer we spend some time in Valsavarenche , directly beneath La Grivola, what a mountain.. I heared it is not climbed very often due to the poor rock quality?

Re: Great view...

In fact on the Cogne side there is a large landslide covering part of the Trajo glacier and the Balzola bivouac at Col des Clochettes (3477m) is consequently unreachable
