Ladovy above Javorova Valley

Ladovy Stit(2628) with its majestic NW face seen in the late afternoon from the trail in Javorova Valley. In the left part of that giant rock wall one can see characterstic sloping snowfields of Ladova dolinka valley surrounded by Snehove(left) and Ladove Veze crags with peaks of Snehovy Stit(2467)(left) and Zadny Ladovy Stit(2507) above.
Ladova Dolinka valley is the most inaccessible of all Tatra valleys. The first people to climb through its whole length to Vysne Ladove Sedlo pass(2420) were Polish climbers Mieczyslaw Swierz and Adam Ferens in 1922. There is about 1400 metres of altitude difference between Ladovy's summit and the bottom of the valley. High Tatras 21st April 2006
