Ladybird spider (Eresus niger)

This tiny spider (around 10 mm / 0.39 in) resemble the ladybird. Thus it waits in a straw tube built as shelter and jumps over its tusk. Taken while ascending Pico Moro, near Serrota. 15 October 2006.
